It is a book which attempts to address managing diabetes and complications from

and diabetes and skin diseases. The acute complications of diabetes are hypoglycemia,
obesity, amputation caused due to diabetes, heart failure and many more. The preventive
methods were also discussed.
Nearly 51 million Indians are suffering from diabetes at present. Prevent is a step
towards managing diabetes with the aim of proper diagnosis, preventive methods and
management of the complications in Indian embodiment. Speaking on the occasion,
Dr Subhankar Chowdhury, professor and head of endocrinology IPGME&R and SSKM Hospital,
